Hi there. My name is Scott Trussler and I'd like to tell you a funny story…
I was in the auto business since 1979 and felt that when I got old I would sell RV’s because I love camping and would only have to work short hours 6 months of the year.
HA!
None of this is true and I am not old yet.
Seriously, I have always had a thing for RV’s. My wife and I have owned a few and we put a Park Model onto a resort in Sundre. When the opportunity to start my own business came up I started importing motorhomes and opened a little RV and Auto store.
One day a lady who worked with me in the auto business asked me if I would help her mother, who was retiring in Kelowna, buy a certain kind of Park Model. She said no one would sell her one so I volunteered to call. The local dealers on the list would not even sell one to me. I called the factory and somehow got the president of the company. He said he would sell me the model the customer wanted if we could set it up.
As luck would have it my son-in-law, Mark, used to do park model setups for a big dealership. He left that job to become a firefighter. He was happy to help and the problem was solved. When Mark finished the set up he said “that was a quality unit.”
My customer was totally impressed.
Then I asked the president of the company if I could have another…
That was June 2006.
At this point 90% of our business is Park Models and we are the #1 Park Model Dealer in Canada for General Coach (Thanks Roger!)
My promise is to do everything in my power to deliver the best product and make sure that all our customers are happy and comfortable in their home away from home.
